Hello Again,

Nice to be back like I said with my new notebook in tote hopefully I will be able to post more often.
Lately I have been out of town and while I am home, trying to keep things going. Yes the tree at my house is still up. This will be the third tree I will take down this season.

while I was on vacation though, we decided to go north to see some snow, do some sledding, ice skating, boat watching, things of that nature. Plan on next Jan just to go up for some sledding and ice skating after Christmas.
The hardest thing to get used to with the trip was the water on the UP, it was not city water as I am accustomed to, it was well water. very different, I made coffee and there was a ring at the top of the cup, tea to, afraid this would be hard for me to drink. I'm sure it was ok, just hard for me.
I decided to wait and have my coffee and tea in the local in town restaurants.
Also no cable tv, just a few channels, a local Canadian channel, Disney, and a sports channel, I almost with into withdrawl from the Discovery Channel and History, but I did find other ways of course to keep occupied.

When I arrived home there was a good series starting on Tv, the conclusion is this Thursday. I am really looking forward to that. Also it is real windy and in the 60 degrees mark, wonderful, I will be sick for sure after being in subzero weather and then coming back to spring time weather.

i posted some pictures of Laura Ingalls Wilder's house and grave. They had a musuem there to. This is really a authors gem. The house was full of her things, as well as the musuem. The house was left just as she left it. She had another house that her daugher Rose had built for her, but Laura thought it was to much for her. It was one of those house kits they sold long time ago. Like a stone house. really pretty. It was really funny how the whole time I couldn't think of anything but how Laura beat Nellies as over Almonzo in the movie.

I want to stay in the house and not come out until winter. It is so hot here we have not mowed the yard in nearly 3 weeks. the grass is dead. the only reason my flower bed is not is because I water them every night. I heard Brooklyn, NY had a tornado?? the news said Brooklyn, NY has not seen a tornado in over 100 years. Hmmmmm... whats going on with the weather? I just want fall to start and the temps to fall. All the hummingbirds are getting water from my fish pond among other birds and cats. I try to leave them water in the bird bath, but it dries as soon as you spray it.

Gonna cook outside this evening to keep the house cool.
I've already got all the blinds closed , they have been closed to keep the heat out. Heat warnings are everywhere.
Let the cooler temps come soon.

Yes its almost the end of the week, and I had the lovely job of going to the supermarket today. There was a Amish family in front of me. The Amish are really common here. Its not unusual to see the horses and buggies. I always slow my Jeep down, so not to scare the horses. They always wave in a way of saying thank you. I find them really interesing people. Some of them are the hard core Amish as others are not that strict. These I don't think were some of the very strict but I don't know that. The ladies were looking at material while the men were looking at jars. I encountered several as you can tell in the store. I must say I do respect them, I don't think I would want to live without some of the things I enjoy today, especially air conditioning and heating, oh and of course automobiles.
They were very nice people , they wouldn't make to much eye contact with anyone. Although when I smiled they did smile back. I must say though that their way of living must keep them in shape because I think a few of the elders looked in better shape than some of the 20 year olds i know. Very Fit.
One time I was antique shop and noticed a few Amish women shopping in their as well. I smiled at them as I was trying to walk by them to go to their other shelf and they looked at me as if they feared me when they walked really fast away. i though whats with them. I just wanted to get by, well my friend that was with me that day informed me of my shirt that I had on. I had been at one of my childrens football games and had on my mascot t-shirt which is a red devil. we laughed all the way out of the store. I didn't realize , wonder what they thought of me having that shirt on. Not knowing this was our school mascot. Never occured to me.

I watched this horror movie last night. it was filmed in Bulgaria. It is one of the "8 Films To Die For" After Dark Horror Fest. It was a story about some children forced to work in mine and were consequently buried alive in the mine. A house that was nearby was owned by the owner of the mine and he died, the later generation of the mine owner moved in. I won't spoil anything, if anyone decided to watch this, but I would love to know what they put in those kid actors eyes to get that effect, scary.

I know they haft to report important issues, but can't they throw in a few good points of the day? Is there any good News out there anymore. If it wasn't for the weather I wouldn't watch everyday. Just wish someone would wave a wand and say "This is for you" Go and Be Happy. Yeah I know I live in a dreamworld but I kind of like it in here

Last couple of days I have been drinking loads of coffee just to keep going. This is my third week of traveling back and forth from Nashville. No time for book or painting. Just driving and rehearsing. This time a friend of mine is riding with me so, company is good. I hope this time I can remember the code to get into the tower. Last week was something else. I found a neat carry on bag at the local mall. I will be out of town again for the next 2 weeks. Today I picked up some travel size bottles. Its easier packing those, they don't take up much room. I cleaned on my house this week. I knew that I won't be here much the next couple of weeks. Just left my suitcase where it sitting. I think I will take my new writing book with me and camera. I love digital cameras , you never haft to mess with film. The weather is going to be bad, rain, but we need rain. we are in a drought here. I finally bought me a little travel pillow and portable dvd player. Hopefully I will get some quite time. I met some really nice people last time I was there and didn't get stuck in any traffic jams. I never thought I would see the day I would be drinking coffee, now I look for other kinds and flavor.

I have not been able to write on my book at all. I have
had several ideas to add but had to write them down so I will remember it later. Its been a busy week. Most of this week I have been in Nashville. The weather was pretty good for driving. It has been extremely dry here but today we did get a little rain. I am a little sad I had a really good dream and did not write it down and now I cannot remember the idea for my book. I am finding it hard to know exactly where to put some of the story sections. Do I let there be flashbacks in my story or
let the story progress to the points? I have went out around Halloween looking for events to write about and so far they have been useful. This week things will slow down until Saturday so I will have time to write and its going to rain so, good writing weather. I am thinking about creating new names for my lead character. Don't know yet. I am completed a computer game a few days ago and part of the game had names of the ancestors from years ago I really liked. In fact we are having a thunderstorm right now, perfect weather, i think I will stay up and write.

I went to the Nobels book store and lost time for hours, looking. Borders, Nobels, Books A Million haft to be my favorite stores. i just wished I lived closer to them. Each store is about a hour away. I found some neat little books that you can paste your stories and pictures in. They were made out of bamboo and beautiful asian materials. I wanted to buy them all. Maybe i will get to go back soon. These book stores are like my hiding place. All the ideas and different categories. I never seem to get to stay as long as I would like. Wish they had a hotel near this place. I forgot to add the books I bought were Utopia, Managing Stress, a book on Feng Shui, Travel Europe magazine, thought about buying the book called Living with your Neurotic Dog but didn't

I've been writing on a horror novel the last 6 months. Its been hard finding time. Everytime i come up with a part of the book I want to add. I write it down so i can add it later. it seems the ideas pop into my head when something happens, kind of a trigger or something. I need to take a notebook with me and write them down word for word when I get these ideas. Make a note of that to self. cause if i sleep before i get to write again. It seems i forget everything.
